• Strength of schedule
• Coaches Rankings
• Head to head
• Record vs. common opponents
• Record vs. league champions
• Record vs. playoff team in same division
• Overall record
Remember being league champion means nothing! You don't get extra credit points
Pag Meter Playoff notes from Feb 17th
Kern Valley will be the No 1 seed but they can't get a home game because the High Desert league has to travel in the playoffs against non HDL teams.
So that means Tranquility and Caruthers will be at the No 1 and/or No 2 spot. Liberty is battle tested!
Pag Meter side note;
The head coach at Caurthers, Josh Henderson, is still suspended for being a good coach. I'm not joking!
Josh was suspended because there was a tragic accident 2 weeks ago involving Blue Raiders center Ranvir Johal who broke his arm in the accident and is out for the year. A young lady died. So very sad! It was not Johal's fault in the accident.
Now about the suspension, A parent complained and blamed coach Henderson for 18 year old Johal, driving before practice to Starbucks. I'm not making this up!! This is worse than when Gene Hackman almost got fired in the movie Hoosiers.
The parent decided to blame Josh for a horrible accident because their son is not starting and the administration suspended Josh Henderson. Again I'm not making this up! I can't sit by any longer and keep silent and see this fine young coach get railroaded for absolutely nothing.
The bottom line is...the parent has a son who does not start and thought this would be a great time to go after one of the best young coaches in the valley because he has a hard on for Josh Henderson!
The Pag Meter says shame on the administration of Caruthers for not doing the right thing. You are setting a BAD example for the rest of the community!
To this parent, and the town of Caruthers all know who it is... has to go. Shame on you for crushing a towns spirit!
I have all the respect in the world for the Blue Raiders fans, players, coaches and parents but the administration needs to do the right thing right now.
