Evan Sagariballa, senior, Kerman

The most competitive player in 2016. Evan was the big money pitcher for 3 years for Jay Preuss. He was outstanding in football, baseball and basketball. It’s alway tough to come out a month into the season and Evan was off and running after basketball.  His career batting average was .356 and won 19 games on the hill and also won a section championship ring his junior year

 

 

Tristen Alvarez, senior, Madera

The Ozzie Smith of valley shortstops. Plenty of speed and was always on base for the Coyotes big sticks in the line up. Outstanding career at Madera

 

 

David Gil,senior, Chavez

The other big arm for the division 5 champions.  0.96 ERA. 7-1, 51 IP, 63 K’s. .343, 6 doubles, 2 triples, 2 HR’s and 28 RBI’s

 

 

Noah Padilla, senior, Memorial

Outstanding lead off hitter for the Panthers with plenty of speed

 

 

Esteban Lizaola, junior, Immanuel

Hard throwing righthander went 6-5 with a 1.30 ERA. 80 IP with 99 K’s. Will be one of the best in 2016 and the Eagles are set for pitching!

 

Colton Crow, junior, Chowchilla

Will be the ace in 2016.  He went 6-2, 1.35 ERA in 52 innings

 

 

Nathan Cavagnaro, junior, El Diamante

The Miners most consistent pitcher that went 7-3, ERA 3.03. He hit .329, 8 doubles. Look for good things in 2016

 

 

Jake Pizzo, junior, Bullard

The Knights have a huge tradition for great players and Jake has a chance to be one of them. He has been a starter since he was a freshmen. Jake got hurt late in the year and will be back strong for 2016

 

 

Colby Freeman, Junior, Centennial

Will be one of the best power hitters in 2016. Hit .344, 10 doubles, 5 HR’s, 28 RBI’s

 

 

Gabe Corona, catcher, senior, Sunnyside

Had an outstanding career with the Wildcats. Hit .326, 8 doubles, 2 triples, 1 HR with 21 RBI’s

 

Ethan McRae, senior, Hanford

A big part of the Bullpups getting to the championship game. Went 6-3, 2.81 ERA.  Hit .397, 5 doubles and 1 HR

 

Cade Temple, junior, Tehachapi

The Warriors ace will be even better in 2016. Went 9-2, ERA 2.52. 61 IP, 57 K’s. Cade will be one of the best in 2016

 

 

Casey Wagnon, senior, Edison

Wagnon was about 120 LBs and the lefty threw just as hard as any lefty in the valley. It’s hard to believe when you see him but boy what an arm!  1.88 ERA as the closer. 4 saves in 22 IP with 34 K’s. Any other team he is the ace

 

 

Leonard Grimes, senior, Rosamond

Super player for the Roadrunners that would be leading off for almost every team in the valley. Hit .494, 17 RBI’s, 13 doubles, 27 stolen bases, and scored 42 runs

 

 

Andrew Flores, senior, Kerman

3 year starter that won a ring his junior year. He was so consistent in the Lions lineup  He hit .406, 14 doubles with 22 RBI’s

 

 

Nate Hedberg, Senior, Tehachapi

One of the best hitters in the south valley. Hit .410, 14 doubles, 6 HR’s.with 23 RBI’s

 

 

Josh Sierra, senior, Kingsburg

Outstanding athlete that can play any sport. Pag Meter All Star in football and did it all for the Vikings in baseball

 

 

Blake Hernandez, junior, El Diamante

Will be a big force in the Miners lineup in 2016. Hit .375, 6 doubles and 19 RBI’s

 

 

Jace Chamberlin, soph, Redwood

The Rangers will have an ace for the next two years and will be one of the valley’s best hitters

 

 

Troy Stainbrook, senior,Golden West

Outstanding career with the Trailblazers. The hard throwing lefty helped win back to back division 3 section championship his soph and junior year. Had 78 K’s in 49 IP

 

Caleb Crow, senior, Chowchilla

The speedster hit .418 with 7 triples and 23 stolen bases. scored 33 runs.

 

 

Leo Carrillo, senior, Hanford West

Plenty of speed and plenty of power for the Huskies. The WYL All Star was always a tough out

 

 

Levi Zosky, senior, Buchanan

Maybe the the best fielding shortstop in the valley for the valley champions

 

 

Mikey Gonzalez, senior, Reedley

The Pirates ace. He went 6-1, 41Ks in 44 innings

 

 

Bristol Hitchman, soph, Lemoore

Will only get better the next 2 years. The All WYL All Star hit .406, 9 doubles, 1 HR with 25 RBI’s

 

 

Solomon Maddox, senior, Hanford

3 year starter for the Bullpups. Hit .392, with 8 doubles

 

Jacob Frazier, senior, Clovis North

The Broncos captain had outstanding speed and played great 2nd base. He was a tough out

 

 

Emilio Navarro, senior, Porterville

Led the Panthers with 25 RBI’s. Hit .373, 11 stolen bases and 2 HR’s

 

Johnny Mendrin, senior, Madera

3 year starter and a big part of the rotation. He went 6-2 with a 2.12 ERA

 

 

Ty Heriman, senior, Reedley

Was Mr clutch in helping the Pirates finish 19-10

 

 

Dalton Gallis, senior, Kern Valley

One of the best athletes in the valley that plays almost every sport. The Broncs QB hit .508, 10 doubles, 5 HR’s, 23 stolen bases with 31 RBI’s

 

Andrew Pizarro, senior, Bullard

One of the big leaders of the Knights behind the plate who handled a pitching staff that was banged up all year

 

 

Elijah Parks, sophomore, Tulare Western

Another young Mustangs star and potential ace in 2016. Hit .361. Pitching he went 6-1 with a 1.20 ERA

 

 

 

 

Ben Bristol, junior, Centennial

Will be the ace in 2016. He went 9-0 with a 2.55 ERA in 66 IP

 

 

Fernando Espinoza, senior, Sunnyside

Tremendous career for the Wildcats. Hit .376, 10 doubles, 1 HR and 31 RBI’s

 

 

Reece Males, junior, Garces

Big power hitter for the division 3 champions and only getting better. 2016 could be 10 HR’s? He hit .356, 5 HR’s, 8 doubles, 1 triple with 36 RBI’s

 

 

Luke Juarez, senior, Sunnyside

The ace of the staff going 8-4, 2.24 ERA for the best team in school history. Hit .337, 3 HR’s, 3 triples, 5 doubles and 34 RBIs

 

 

Zach Williams, junior, Liberty

The junior hit .390, 3 doubles, and 3 HR’s. The stats in 2016 should be very good

 

Noah Haupt, soph, Clovis North

One of the best left handed swings you will ever find and with power! If Noah ever figures out that baseball is his ticket  to the next level and really focuses....sky's the limit

 

 

Brian Lopez, soph, Firebaugh

Plan on Brian being a Pagmeter 1st teamer in 2016. This kid is the real deal. Hit .284, 11 stolen bases with 14 doubles, 1 triple and HR. Pitching he went 6-3, 2.11 ERA in 50 IP

 

 

Luke Lewis, senior, Centennial

Had a good year in the middle of the G Hawks lineup. Hit .359, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 1 HR with 25 RBI’s

 

 

Ian Ross, infielder, junior, Clovis West

One of the best young hitters in the valley with speed and power. He got injured late in the year that hurt the CW offense. He hit .340, 8 doubles, HR and 15 RBI’s. 2016 should be fun to watch and the potential TRAC player of the year

 

Sam Subia, sophomore, Garces

The Rams always seem to have a young star. This year it was Sam the man. He hit .372, 11 stolen bases, 10 doubles and 1 triple for the division 3 Champs

 

Josh Mettier, senior, Bullard

Boy was Josh huge for the Knights especially when all the pitchers went down injuries. He beat Stockdale in the 1st round of the playoffs

 

Mario Lopez, senior, Chavez

Outstanding ERA of 0.59 in 59 IP. 8-1 record for the division 5 section champs. A power pitcher with 80 K's

 

 

Aaron Walker, senior, Kerman

Outstanding career and big clutch hitter for the Lions. One of the valley leaders in walk off game winners. His career batting average was .347, 45 RBI’s and 3 HR’s

 

Michael Alveraz, soph, Memorial

Will be up for athlete of the year by the time he is a senior. The QB will be the Panthers ace the next 2 years

 

Dillon Owens, senior, Fresno Christian

The Eagles ace and leader for a young team. He also did a nice job swinging the bat

 

Zac Whittaker, senior, Clovis

One of the hardest throwing lefty's that was the Friday night starter. One of the top strikeout pitchers in the valley that went 8-3

 

 

Jacob Sanchez, junior, Stockdale

The speedster Hit .404 with 18 stolen bases. His senior year should be exciting

 

 

Blake Costa, junior, Tulare Western

Will be the ace in 2016. He went 6-2, 64 IP, 2.27 ERA. Had so many big hit, .363, 6 doubles, HR and 19 RBIs

 

Justin McLeod, senior, Minarets

Helped the Mustangs win the division 6 section championship his junior year and had a great senior year hitting .562, 5 doubles, 5 triples, 13 stolen bases with 25 RBI's.

 

 

Harley Lopez, senior, Frontier

Had a very nice senior year that went 6-2 with a 2.41 ERA

 

 

Gabe Garcia, senior, BCHS

Threw in 71 innings with 103 K’s and a 2.07 ERA. Hit ,364, 9 doubles, 1 HR with 17 RBI’s  

 

 

Andrew Whitten, senior, Porterville

The Panthers ace had an outstanding 2015!  

 

 

Alec Olsen, senior, Liberty

Plenty of speed with 10 stolen bases. Hit .379 and score 29 runs on a team that struggled scoring runs

 

 

Grant Gambrell, junior, Buchanan

Watchout in 2016 for the new Bears ace. The hard throwing right hander could be leading the valley with strikeouts and is the leader in the clubhouse for Pag Meter pitcher of the year

 

 

Patrick Reynier, senior, Bakersfield

Outstanding athlete that played great at 3rd base, Hit .395, 7 doubles and 4 HR’s

 

Chase Hagar, senior, Bullard

He played all over the place and came up with some big hits for the Knights

 

Oscar Topete, senior, Fresno High

Got some big hits and also combined on a no-hiiter pitching

 

 

 

Michael Beltran, senior, Buchanan

One of the best defensive 2nd baseman’s in the valley. Hit .277, scored 23 runs with 9 stolen bases, 4 doubles

 

 

Wes Bradford, senior, Bakersfield Christian

The senior leader for the Eagles. He had a team-best .440 average with 3 triples and 12 stolen bases

 

 

Jack Foote, freshmen, Lemoore

The Tigers have an ace for the next 3 years. He went 4-0 with 1.99 ERA

 

 

Matt Edlund, senior, Caruthers

Played in the City-County All Star game. Hit .348, 3 doubles, 1 triple, 1 HR. Pitching he went 4-0

 

 

Tyler Herrick, senior, Rosamond

The Roadrunners ace went 7-2, 1.69 ERA. 70 IP with 79 K’s

 

 

Derick Kuhn, senior, Central

Outstanding defensive shortstop that made every play. Derick was the team leader that kept the Grizzlies together.  Next stop Simpson University

 

 

Zach Bushling, soph, Kern Valley

Outstanding sophomore year hitting .580, 5 doubles, 2 triples, 4 HR’s, 24 stolen bases, with 39 RBI’s. The next 2 years will be exciting to watch

 

 

Nick Proffitt, junior, Liberty

Will be one of the top power hitters in 2016 in the south valley. He hit .323, 6 HR’s, 4 doubles with 33 RBI’s

 

Erik Scott, senior, Fresno

Was a big bat in the line up. Red hot in the 2nd half of the year

 

 

Alec Demaria, senior, Edison

Will be missed in the Tigers lineup. The 3 year starter hit .376, 9 doubles,  with 25 RBI’s

 

 

Sam Metcalf, senior, Farmersville

The All world record breaking QB finishes off a tremendous career for the Aztecs

 

 

Ty Williams, senior, Independence

Hit .391 with 17 stolen bases. One of the toughest outs in the valley

 

 

Conner Friedline, senior, Hoover   

The Patriots captain and leader on a young team. Hit .417, 10 doubles, 3 HR’s with 14 RBI’s

 

 

Frankie Saldate, senior, McLane

The ace for the Highlanders. City-County All Star

 

 

Elijah Clark, senior, Caruthers

The QB and basketball player finishes off a great Blue Raiders career hitting .425, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 1 HR

 

 

Noah Hodson, senior, Stockdale

The Mustangs ace pitched in a bunch of big games. ERA 2.27 in 62 IP. Also hit .312, 3 doubles, 1 HR

 

 

Zach Fesperman, senior, Woodlake

Had a very good year for the Tigers hitting and pitching. Hit .450 with 19 RBI’s. 2.33 ERA in 15 IP

 

 

Konner Dodge, junior, Frontier

Led his team with a .388 batting average and had 17 stolen bases. Should be a big 2016 year
