2015 Valley Championship Final Recap

No 1 Buchanan Bears 15,  No 3 Clovis Cougars 1

WP Conner Loeprich, 3 hitter. 

The big blow was Chandler Bengtson grand slam to center field that made it 6-0. Bengston went 3 for 4 with a grand slam, double and 6 RBIs. 

Conner was hurt in the Bear pile after the game but it looks like he will be fine!! 

Zach Ashford, who had a .477 average entering the game, finished 1 for 2 with a triple and scored 3 runs.

Michael Beltran went 1 for 3, scored 2 runs with 4 RBIs. Designated hitter Grant Gambrell, 2 for 3 with a double, one run and one RBI.

 

The Road to Rawhide

The Valley Championship game is on Tuesday May 31st and the Valley Championship should not be played on a Tuesday night (A school night) in Visalia or anywhere!!! The CIF dropped the ball and it should be a breach of contract for this year because Rawhide messed up and forgot to schedule all the section championship games for Friday and Saturday.

This year the higher seed should be played at their stadium. IT’S A NO BRAINER!

Next year the section championship will be played at Bob Bennett Stadium/Pete Beiden Field at Fresno State.

**The Top 2 seeds will be either Buchanan or Clovis North. Buchanan needs to beat Clovis North one time to be the TRAC Champs. The Broncos have to sweep the Bears to be the No 1 seed and TRAC Champions. The Broncos  have already beaten the Bears.

 

**No 3 seed is between Clovis and Bullard. Clovis has the edge because they beat Bullard on opening day when Bullard made 7 errors. Bullard is red hot and the Cougars are not.

 

**No 4 seed should be Clovis or Bullard

 

**No 5 seed should be between Tulare Western and Stockdale. The SWYL is a tougher league over the EYL and both teams are league champions. They did not play each other this year.

 

**No 6 seed should be be between Tulare Western and Stockdale

 

**No 7 seed will be decided in the the last 2 games.

 

Frontier Titans are  (9-15-2) (5-8 SWYL) and might not enter the tournament.

There could be 5 byes in the 1st round
