No 1 Taft WildCats 1, No 2 Liberty Hawks 0
Taft defeated Liberty-Ranchos 1-0 behind Arizona Pilgrim in the circle, and the Wildcats secured a 3rd consecutive section title
Pilgrim struck out 9 on a 3 hitter.
In 3 playoff games, Pilgrim struck out 37 batters in 22 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 walks. The Charleston (S.C.) Southern-bound pitcher finished her senior season with 293 strikeouts and 67 consecutive shutout innings to end the year.
Add that into a career that ended with 104 wins (4th in California history according to Cal-Hi Sports), 58 shutouts and 1,028 strikeouts. Pag Meter All Star!!
