Garces scored six runs in the decisive sixth inning of an 8-3 win. Junior catcher Reece Males, who blasted a two-run triple to the left-center field gap to score Samuel Subia and Hudson Hartley. That turned a 3-2 deficit into a 4-3 lead.
WP Hudson Hartley and also hit a homer.
Division 3 is the most interesting race for the top 2 seeds. If Dinuba sweeps Exeter this week, I can see them getting the No 1 seed since they beat Kerman.
Kerman has some big wins over Redwood, Hanford and Central but has lost to Selma and Dinuba. The Central Sequoia is much tougher than the North Sequoia.
Don’t leave out Lemoore who has played a tough schedule. The Tigers have beaten Dinuba, Selma and Madera South twice. Split with Redwood, Mt Whitney and lost to Reedley.
The defending Champion Garces Rams had to play in the toughest SWYL league and beat Independence, Ridgeview, El Diamante, Liberty Bakersfield twice, Frontier, and Stockdale. The Rams have some big wins but does not have a 500 record. The Rams should enter the tournament with a tough schedule.
