After his senior year, BB will go down as possibly the best linebacker in Bullard history. He finished with 116 tackles with 5 sacks. Baker will be up for Pag Meter Defensive Player of the Year in 2016
Mario Salorio-Senior-Chavez Titans
One of the best to ever play for Titan nation. He was the South Sequoia league MVP and made 162 tackles. The team leader will be missed next year
Josh Hokit-Senior-Clovis Cougars
Runner up for Pag Meter Defensive Player of the Year. The Cougar’s leader and best player was amazing on both sides of the ball. At fullback he rushed for 820 yards and scored 8 TD’s.. On defense he played sideline to sideline and made 94 tackles. One of the best wrestlers in the state and next up is wrestling at Drexel college
Cameron Lamanuzzi- Junior-Bullard Knights
The Italian stallion had an outstanding year on both sides of the ball. Lamanuzzi was a team leader that made 96 tackles, 3 sacks, picked off 2 passes, works hard, and is the kind of player that head coach Donnie Arax loves to coach. He is one of the best linebackers/ tight ends in the valley and I can’t wait to see Lam in 2016!
Bryson Young-Senior-Buchanan Bears
One of the reasons why the Bears were so good on defense. When he turned it on, the All TRAC player was the best. He was big, fast, and strong-college dream player
Angel Garcia-Senior-Tehachapi Warriors
All Angel does is make tackles and the Warriors are going to miss their team leader. He made 121 tackles and made over 100 plus tackles in 3 straight years
Ricky Leung-Wai-Junior-Ridgeview Wolf Pack
When you win back-to-back section championships, you have to have a good defense and it started up front. He was big and physical and tough to block. His senior year will be off the charts
Johnny Rojas-Senior-Clovis West Golden Eagles
The team leader for the Golden Eagles. The All TRAC 6-6, 230 lb player will now be a FSU Bulldog. He was an outstanding tight end and defensive end for the Golden Eagles with 92 tackles and had 9 sacks
Parker Holbrook-Senior-Centennial Golden Hawks
The Golden Hawks had one of the best defenses in the valley and it started with Parker at linebacker. The team captain had 120 tackles with 9 sacks. Every team knew where Parker was lined up
Caleb Kelly-Senior-Clovis West Golden Eagles
The most decorated linebacker maybe in valley history. The national high school Dick Butkus award winner as the best linebacker in the nation. He played on offense as well catching 33 passes for 489 yards. Next stop for the TRAC Co defensive player of the year is the Oklahoma Sooners
Ben Parker-Senior-Buchanan Bears
A beast on the edge and a big reason why the Bears were so good on defense. He played hurt at the end of the year and still was TRAC Lineman of the year. 6-5 and fast, Parker has a great future
Leeval Tatum-Senior-Edison Tigers
One of the strongest players in the Valley, when LT turned on his motor he was unstoppable. He was a big part of the Tigers Valley Championship team his junior year, and controlled the line of scrimmage on the defensive side his senior. He was always double teamed. Next stop in UNLV
Marcus Alonzo-Senior-Tulare Union Redskins
I will let you in a little secret...the Tulare Union offensive line was very good. Alonzo was strong and fast and back to back on the EYL All Star Team
Krys Barnes-Senior-Liberty Patriots
The most physical linebacker in the valley for the Valley Champions. Nobody ran up the middle against the Patriots. He made 78 tackles and recovered 4 fumbles. Next stop the UCLA Bruins
Jakell Tomlin-Senior-Bakersfield Drillers
A coach's dream player because all Paul Golla had to tell Jakell was to stick with the other team's best receiver. One of the best lock down corners in the state. On offense he caught 30 passes for 666 yards in an offense that struggled throwing
Elijah Alonzo-Senior-Tulare Western Mustangs
He was the EYL Defensive Player of the Year. He made 143 tackles and was so tough to block. He recorded 7 sacks and chased down QB’s all night long. He had two interceptions, three forced fumbles and 7 fumble recoveries. Every coach knew where Alonzo was lined up
Allen Perryman-Senior-Lemoore Tigers
One of the best Tigers in a while. The Tigers were so successful the last 2 years, and leading the way was Allen Perryman who never came off the field. At receiver he caught 43 passes for 763 yards and scored 14 TD’s. On defense he made 51 tackles with 3 interceptions
Chris Paz-Senior-Memorial Panthers
Paz never came off the field and was the Panthers team leader. At receiver he caught 57 passes for 1,084 yards and scored 9 TD’s. On defense he made 64 tackles with 5 sacks, and 4 interceptions
Kaipo Barnes-Senior-Hanford Bullpups
He was the WYL Defensive Player of the Year. Barnes had a team-high of 176 tackles (117 solo) and 9 sacks. He was the team captain and the enforcer at linebacker
Jared Hill-Senior-Clovis Cougars
Outstanding year and another tremendous linebacker. He made 102 tackles with 4 sacks for one of the best defenses in the valley
Travis Wilson-Junior-Sunnyside Wildcats
One of the fastest linebackers in the valley and was a force on the Wildcats defense. The NYL All Star played both ways and made 168 tackles, and had 5 sacks. Watch for the 195 lbs linebacker and running back in 2016!
Josh Boyd-Senior-West Vikings
He has lightning speed on both sides of the ball. At receiver he caught 66 passes for 1,096 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. On defense he was the SYL defensive MVP making 90 tackles. Next stop is Wyoming
Jamar Moya-Junior-Ridgeview Wolf Pack
He did it all for the back-to-back division 2 Section Champions. Played all 48 minutes, ran back punts, ran back kickoffs. One of the best defensive backs in the valley, rushed for 640 yards and scored 10 touchdowns, caught 17 passes for 338 yards (19.9 average) and scored 4 touchdowns
Joey Ruiz-Senior-Memorial Panthers
The big spark for the Panthers on both sides of the ball. Once Joey took over at running back he averaged 8.7 yards per carry and scored 18 TD’s, rushed for 1,341 yards and caught 21 passes. He returned punts and kickoffs as well and was dangerous. On defense he made 74 tackles, 7 sacks and picked off 2 passes and battling in the tough CMAC league
Garrett Perkinson-Senior- Exeter Monarchs
The Central Sequoia League Co-Defensive Player of the Year had a fantastic year making 168 tackles that played sideline to sideline at Linebacker. The team leader will be missed!
Miguel Garcia-Junior-Sanger Apaches
The CMAC defensive player of the year that was the defensive standout who finished with 129 tackles 2 sacks and has 239 career tackles heading into his senior year
Marcus Hawkins, Junior, Sunnyside Wildcats
Outstanding athlete that is tough to block. Played both ways and was always around the ball on defense. He made 130 tackles, 2 sacks and picked off 6 passes. Marcus is also an outstanding baseball player
